Acclaimed Argentinian actor and producer Adrián Suar directs and stars in this charming dramedy set in Buenos Aires. Hours before leaving the United States to attend a family wedding and Bat Mitzvah in his home town, Dario learns that his father has just passed away. As the family debates whether to proceed with the festivities during the mourning period, sibling rivalry, grief and long-held grudges resurface. Written by Pablo Solarz (TJFF favourite The Last Suit) and featuring performances by an outstanding cast, Mazel Tov captures family dysfunction with humour, realistically capturing both the destructive and redemptive aspects of being part of a family.
